“Building cities, building theory: border-crossing perspectives on migrant construction work and employment”

 

Michelle Buckley is an Assistant Professor of Human Geography at the University of Toronto Scarborough. She is a former Lecturer at Mansfield College, Oxford and at the School of Environment & Technology at the University of Brighton, UK. Her research is broadly concerned with the transnational labour geographies that sustain contemporary urbanization, and is informed by postcolonial and Marxian-feminist perspectives in urban studies, geography, and sociology. Her work has been published in journals such as the Annals of the Association of American Geographers, the International Journal of Urban and Regional Research, Antipode and Geoforum.
